Following the completion of the cash and stock tender offer and the confirmation of a 90% holding in Meridian Gold Inc. (Canada, constituent) by Yamana Gold Inc. (Canada), FTSE announces the following changes:

FTSE Gold Mines Index	Meridian Gold (Canada, 2553698) will be deleted from the index.	09 November 2007
