American Tower Corporation (USA): Conversion to REIT status
FTSE NAREIT US Real Estate Index Series

In accordance with the FTSE NAREIT US Real Estate Index series ground rules, FTSE and NAREIT announce that American Tower Corporation will be eligible for fast entry inclusion into the FTSE NAREIT US Real Estate Index Series effective from the start of trading on Monday 9 January 2012.

American Tower Corporation will be added to the FTSE NAREIT All REITs Index effective from the start of trading on Monday 9 January 2012.

American Tower Corporation will not be eligible for the FTSE NAREIT Equity REITs Index.

A follow-up notification will be released detailing the inclusion of American Tower Corporation to additional FTSE NAREIT US Real Estate Indices.
