Subject to the completion of a cash and stock acquisition of MStar Semiconductor (Taiwan constituent) by MediaTek (Taiwan constituent) for the remaining shares in MStar Semiconductor that it does not already own, FTSE and TWSE announce the following changes:

MediaTek (Taiwan, 6372480) will remain in the index with an increased shares in issue total of 1,569,513,598* and an unchanged investability weighting of 93%.
MStar Semiconductor (Taiwan, B4N97J9) will be deleted from the index.
In accordance with FTSE TWSE Taiwan Index Series Ground rule 9.2.1, MStar Semiconductor will be replaced by the highest ranking company by full market capitalization eligible on the Reserve List two days prior to the deletion and FTSE will issue a further notice in due course.
