The FTSE ASEAN Index Series was established in partnership with the ASEAN Exchanges to promote ASEAN as a regional equity market grouping. It includes the first ASEAN indexes that were designed to be used as tools for the creation of index tracking funds, derivatives and as a performance benchmark.
The FTSE ASEAN Index Series comprises large, mid and small cap stocks from the seven leading ASEAN financial markets:
- Bursa Malaysia
- Hanoi Stock Exchange
- HoChiMinh Stock Exchange
- Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX)
- The Philippine Stock Exchange
- Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX)
- The Stock Exchange of Thailand
The index series represents up to 98% of the investable market capitalization across 6 countries:
Headline indexes include the FTSE ASEAN All-Share Index, FTSE ASEAN 40 Index and the FTSE ASEAN Stars Index.
